In advice from yours truly, I talk about the risks of co-signing an auto loan for a friend or relative. Also, I’ve had a lot of questions about the lemon law lately, so I give you information on what to do if you find yourself with a problematic car under warranty.

In new vehicle reviews, I spent a week with the new 2021 Honda Ridgeline Sport pickup. Our Terry Box scooted around Dallas for a week in the 2021 Toyota C-HR compact SUV.

This week I feature another True Story From A Former Car Dealer titled: Ice Cream. This is a story about a very nice older lady who told me about a problem she was having with her car that made absolutely no sense. You won’t believe this one!

The titles to the stories often don’t tell anywhere near the entire story, almost every one of the stories have twists and turns along the way. I share with you my triumphs and tragedies, the highs and the lows, and there were many.

Some will make you laugh, others will make you cry, but according to listener feedback, all will hold your attention. This week’s feature is called Ice Cream, a story about a nice, older lady who had a car problem that made absolutely no sense at all, yet I knew she was sincere.

Excerpt:

I, of course, asked what the problem was. She prefaced the answer with “please don’t think I’m crazy”. I admit thinking uh-oh but didn’t let that show. She continued to tell me that every day after lunch, she went to Baskin-Robbins ice cream, primarily to just get out of the house for a little while, plus she loved ice cream. Then came the stunner when the small, slight-of-build lady said: “When I get vanilla ice cream, everything is fine. When I get chocolate chip mint, my car won’t start”. You could tell she was sincere.
