August 2, 2019

Aug-02-2019 11-24-55

Welcome to August, I hope you are staying cool!  We finally hit 100-degress in North Texas on Tuesday of this week. The way the calendar fell, we will have the July sales numbers for you next week, although we will not have numbers from Ford, GM, or Fiat Chrysler until the end of September.

Since it is now August, all the incentives have changed, so if you are in the market, be sure to check out our revamped factory incentives page!

In vehicle reviews, our Amy Plemons did a comprehensive review AND video of the 2020 Kia Telluride.  This is the most requested review of the year, so far.  I did a review and video with the 2020 Nissan Altima SL, and Terry Box spent a week with the 2019 Subaru Forester Sport.

Do you have money coming from the Equifax security breach of 2017 that we talked so much about?  Below we tell you how to apply!

True Stories From a Former Car Dealer

shutterstock_212258749-ford-headquartersjpg-1-e1534798190598A year ago, I started a series of True Stories From A Former Car Dealer.  Over 40 weeks, I wrote about experiences I had from my days as a dealership owner.  Some will make you laugh, others will make you cry.  The reaction was beyond my wildest expectations.

In this story, titled Auto Collections is the story of Ford Motor getting in the retail side of the car business and how I became the first two-term National Dealer Council Chairman.
